Food Options was formed in 2002 and we are now a well-established multi temperature foodservice distributor.
We supply a diverse range of chilled and frozen foods as well as a comprehensive selection of grocery products and non-food items. Our products also include established brands as well as a competitively priced own label ranges, creating a ‘one-stop-shop’ for our clients.
We are members of Fairway Foodservice – a national association of independent wholesalers whose combined purchasing power allows us to compete effectively with the major national distributors. With the partnership of this network we continue to expand the enormous range of products and offerings that our clients value, and we bring to our clients the quality of products that they have come to expect from Food Options.
With over 2500 products in our range, Food Options offer our customers a diversity of choice and the availability of a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all catering requirements.
In 2013, we opened a brand new FSA approved meat processing plant. This allows us to supply our customers with a full catering butchery service. Not only do we butcher our own standard cut meats, but we are also now able to provide a more bespoke butchery service when required. Whether that is for a particular cut of butcher meat, or simply to discuss your requirements in detail with one of our butchers.
Professional and correct food handling, along with health and safety, are of paramount importance at Food Options. With this in mind we have third party accreditation from NSF-CMi – rated as ‘Gold Standard’.
We have an ideal location in Central Scotland where our custom built site in Livingston gives us easy access to all major routes. We provide a daily delivery service to all major cities – Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee and Newcastle – on our own fleet of dual temperature vehicles.
Food Options deliver on 24 hour lead time and offer a full telesales service up to 10pm, as well as an answering service. We understand the needs our clients have outside of the normal working week and therefore we also provide a Saturday delivery.
We accept orders by telephone, fax and email. Payments are accepted by cash, cheque, direct debit, debit cards and credit cards.
OUR SALES TEAM
Food Options have a highly experienced sales team which includes 7 field sales representatives and 5 telesales operators.
Most of our field sales team are trained chefs and have a wide knowledge of the catering industry. With this they bring a wealth of experience to our business, which in turn assists greatly in the support and advice that we can bring to our clients.
They are able to both understand our customer’s needs and also make recommendations on product choices to suit specific menu requirements. Our sales team can also offer a full menu planning service linked to specific products with long term pricing which allows the Chef to closely control his weekly food cost.
